JR ACCOUNTANT (Irvine)

Comp: $55k - 58k DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Process credit card transactions in Bizplay and GroupWare, ensuring they are accurately and promptly integrated into SAP.
  • Record daily bank transactions and maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
  • Support chargeback investigations by reviewing transactions, performing analyses, and preparing documentation.
  • Assist in improving U.S. accounting workflows, including enhancements to credit card expense management systems.
  • Contribute to monthly balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Maintain an organized and accessible accounting filing system for financial documentation.
  • Process payments to vendors, customers, and other stakeholders according to established schedules.
  • Reconcile collected sales tax with sales tax returns and assist with compliance activities.
  • Perform routine bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as they arise.
  • Communicate financial issues or variances to management clearly and effectively.
  • Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support reconciliation tasks with Korea offices to maintain accurate and aligned intercompany records.

Qualifications

  • Must work on-site (in-office).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication abilities and a collaborative working style.
